Sax institute of Australia studied 2,31,048 participants of 45 and up for 6 years. The findings are published in PLOS Medicine. The researchers combined different combinations of risk factors known to increase risk of death such as smoking, alcohol, unhealthy diet, Physical inactivity, Prolonged sitting and too much or too little sleep to see which combinations had the most impact on person’s risk of dying prematurely from any cause.During study of 2,31,048 participants, 15,635 died.

A person who sleeps too much, sits too much and doesn’t exercise is more than 4 times chance for premature death

Smoking, high alcohol intake, and lack of sleep(less than 7 hours a night also 4 times greater risk of death.

Physically inactive and sleeping too much, Physically inactive and prolonged sitting , smoking and high alcohol intake have double the chance of early death.

Non-communicable diseases(Heart disease, Diabetes, Cancer ) kills more than 38 million people around the world and cause more death than infectious disease.

Diabetic patients are twice prone to tooth loss than without Diabetes.
